Constrastive Linguistics and Error Analysis, a branch of Applied Linguistics, constitute the theoretical bases of this research. In this part of the present research, our aim is to determine and examine the errors made by Turkish students who learn English as their first foreign language. By examining the mistakes that are made by students on their written products and final exams, we applied grammar exams to our Turkish students who are learning French at elementary and pre-intermediate level between the years 2008-2011 at Ankara University Tömer Turkish and Foreign Language Research and Application Center, Ankara Kızılay Branch Office. After correcting their mistakes, we hope to clarify main reasons of mistakes made by the students through integrating didactical obstacle concept arising from mathematical study for effective solutions
