Özet:

The aim of this study is to develop a measurement tool for determining the writing anxiety for the students who learn Turkish as a foreign language. Firstly for this purpose field scan was done and 5 different experts’ opinions were asked so 36 items were formed by creating a pool with open-ended questions and they were asked to the participants in the University of Süleyman Demirel and International Antalya. A pretreatment is applicated to total of 422 participants who learn Turkish as a foreign language in levels of A1 and A2. At the end of these applications one item of 36 items was decided to remove which form the Turkish as a foreign language writing anxiety scale result (YTYKÖ) and final version of 35-point scale was created. Positive substances are scored reversed in the final version of the scale. After pretreatment of scale exploratory factor analysis was conducted in order to determine the relationship between the items and whether they measure the same features or not. Based on the results of factor analysis, KMO (Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin) sampling adequacy coefficient of 0.89, while the Bartlett test x2 value 5688,854 and p values were found to be 0.00. For being KMO value’s close to 1 indicates that the data for factor analysis is appropriate and adequate. Bartlett's sphericity test measures whether variables are meaningful to each other or not and being p-value of 0.01 or less indicates the possibility of factor analysis of these data. Cronbach’s alpha internal consistency reliability of the scale of measurement is .86. Four-factor structure explains 67% of the total variance
