In this study, validity and reliability processes of a writing self-efficacies scale developed for secondary school learners has been presented. In the beginning of the study, a 47 item pool was created using expert judgment of the students’ opinions and then the draft was reduced to 45 items. The scale was evaluated using factor analysis method by the contribution of 293 primary school students in Elazığ. In statistical analysis 40 items were chosen for the second analysis. There are 30 positive, 10 negative attitude items in the scale. KMO value of the scale was found out as .869, Bartlett’s test was determined as 8252.72, Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient of the scale was found as .921. This result shows that analysis of data obtained from study, it was understood the scale developed is applicable.
