Özet:

Exclamations is a kind of word used for telling various emotions stating some verbs and imitating the nature’s sounds Due to the fact that exclamations reflect the emotion states or nature sounds’ effects on perception it can be said that exclamations can be found in every language Particularly the examples considered as main exclamations have similar forms even in different languages On account of this it should not be forgotten that there are two ways to evaluate exclamations The first way is that exclamations can be evaluated as the product of the society in which it is used; furthermore the second way to evaluate is that there may be some items derived from foreign languages as a result of intercultural relationships and used as exclamations In the standard language of Turkey Turkish there are numerous words and phrases derived from foreign languages and they are used as exclamations Either derived from different Western languages or formed with Western originated words these exclamations are used with many reasons In the present study the aim is to identify Western originated exclamations used in Turkey Turkish’s standard language and Turkish Dictionary TDK 2005 2011; Püsküllüoğlu 2012 via reflecting the usage ways of exclamations in written texts Key Words: standard language vocabulary exclamation loan words
