Bu araştırmanın amacı, “T.C. İnkılâp Tarihi ve Atatürkçülük” dersinde tarihi içerikli filmlerin kullanımına ilişkin ortaokul 8. sınıf öğrencilerinin görüşlerinin incelenmesidir. Araştırmanın modeli betimsel tarama olup veriler nitel araştırma desenlerinden yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile elde edilmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2012-2013 eğitim öğretim yılında İzmir ilinde bir devlet okulunda 20 8. sınıf ortaokul öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma sonucunda öğrencilerin tarihi filmlerin kullanımı ile gerçekleştirilen öğrenme sürecine yönelik olumlu bir görüşe sahip olduklarına ulaşılmıştır. Öğrenciler, tarihsel sürece ilişkin bilgi sahibi olmanın yanında tarihsel empati yaparak o dönemde yaşanılan zorlukları görmüşlerdir. İlgili branş öğretmenleri tarihi filmlerin kullanımına derste yer verilmelidir. Öğretmenlerin tarihi filmlerle öğretime ilişkin hizmet içi eğitim almaları sağlanmalıdır ya da filmlerin kullanımına ilişkin bilgileri yenilenmelidir. Dersin müfredatındaki konu yoğunluğu azaltılarak Kurtuluş Savaşı sürecinde tarihi filmlerin kullanımına daha fazla zaman ayrılması için çalışmalar yapılmalıdır.
The purpose of study is to examine the opinions of 8th grade students about use of history oriented films in history course. The model of the study is descriptive survey model and the data were obtained through semi-structured interview form which is a qualitative research design. The study group is composed of the 20 (twenty) middle school 8th graders in government schools of İzmir province in 2012-2013 academic year. At the end of the study, it was found out that students have positive attitudes towards learning process that include historical films. Students saw the hardships had at that time and realized historical empathy apart from acquiring new information. Teachers who are related to subject must involve the using of historical films to their lesson. Teachers must take in service training about using historical films in their lessons the information about using films must be modernized. With reducing the intension of curriculum, studies must be done to have more time to use historical films in Independence War process.
