Bu araştırma okul öncesi eğitiminin ilköğretim birinci sınıf öğrencilerinin Türkçe dil becerilerinin gelişimine olan etkisini çeşitli değişkenlere göre incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu ilköğretim okullarının birinci sınıflarına 2010-2011 eğitim-öğretim yılında başlayan 205 çocuk oluşturmuştur. Çalışmanın verileri “Kişisel Bilgi Formu” ve “Okuma Yazma Becerileri Ölçekleri” kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen veriler, Kruskal Wallis Testi ve Mann Whitney-U Testi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmanın sonuçları, öğrencilerin Türkçe dil becerileri üzerinde okul öncesi eğitim, anne ve baba öğrenim düzeylerinin istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark yarattığını ancak; kardeş sayısı ve cinsiyet faktörlerinin dil becerileri üzerinde anlamlı bir fark yaratmadığını ortaya koymuştur
This research was carried out to study the impact of pre-school education on the development of the Turkish language skills of primary school students according to various variables. The study group consisted of 205 children starting in the 2010-2011 educational year in the first class of primary schools. The data of the study was collected using "Personal Information Form" and "Read Writing Skills Scale". The data obtained from the study were evaluated by the Kruskal Wallis Test and the Mann Whitney-U Test. The results of the study showed that students' pre-school education, mother and father's education levels made a statistically meaningful difference on Turkish language skills, but the number of brothers and sisters and gender factors did not make a meaningful difference on language skills.
