Today democracy is mostly defined as a life style. Since 2004-2005 academic year this concept was thought both in primary and secondary schools not only in theory but also in practice by means of "Democracy Education and School Councils Project" applications. In this study it is aimed to evaluate the project which aims to educate students as an individual embraces the culture of democracy, indulgent, respectful to social structure, depends on national and spiritual values, embraces the culture of election and selection depending on the ideas of candidate teachers and teachers. In this context, semi-structured interviews were conducted with seven teacher candidates and six teachers in Cemal Mümtaz Anatolian high School in Eskisehir in 2009-2010 academic year spring semester. As a result of the descriptive analysis of the obtained data both teachers and students have positive attitudes towards the project, but basically not having enough information about the project and due to some factors not giving enough importance to the project both teachers and students have similar problems and request solutions.
