Abstract Water has been an important tool and theme for arts.. Even in the prehistoric times painters have symbolized water with a wavy line. . It was an distinguishing talent for artists of the Middle Ages and especially the Renaissance artists to paint several forms of water reaching from silent water to wild waves. The Reflections and shimmering's on the water were used to were the methods used to show dramatic scenes. In the visual arts, tampere, engravings, watercolor paintings and almost all types of water is an indispensable tool. Its different forms such as transparency, its liquid nature as well as its changeability offered artists important opportunities.. Caravaggio's Narcissus for example is a painting that reflects the truth via water. Caravaggio, reflected a kind of water play games. Again father Bruegelthe Flemish village of Sint-Anne-Pad portrayed the peasants on the frozen lake. The technique of the art of Ebru is achieved by moving the paint on water. Ebru artists can successfully portray natural and abstract figures on water. Contemporary sculptures made of ice and snows are further proof showing the importance of water also in arts.
