In this study, using data from Singapore, South Korea, Japan, China-Taiwan, Finland, Slovenia, Britain, Turkey, Malaysia and Macedonia who participated in the "International Mathematics and Science Trends Study-2011" (TIMSS 2011) application, "What changes the science and mathematical achievements of eighth-class students, according to the education that teachers receive in higher education?" Reply to the question was asked. The research has been aimed at identifying in which fields science and mathematics teachers receive education in higher education, that the student's scientific knowledge and academic achievements in mathematics have statistically significant impact and that the academic achievements are improved or not. The data sources of this study are obtained from the TIMSS 2011 application. The data was analyzed using the SPSS-based HLM analysis program. In this framework, mathematics and science knowledge teachers have been attempted to determine the field training they receive in higher education, the impact on students' science knowledge and mathematical success by the Hierarchical Linear Modeling (HLM) method. The academic science success score of the students of the scientists who studied in the fields of biology, physics and chemistry in their higher education has been higher than the teachers who do not have an education in these fields. The scores of academic mathematics achievement of the students of mathematics teachers who are taught in the fields of mathematics, geosciences and other expressed fields have increased compared to teachers who are not taught in these fields.
