Özet:

Islam encourages people to acquire goods in canonically lawful ways. The best way to gain wealth is trade as it is known. Allah permits the trade of teh legitimate goods and forbids the trade of illegitimate things. Interest and bribery are forbidden by Allah, because they are sinful. Despite it is seemed that the subject is related to Islamic jurisprudence, it is the subject of tafseer as well. Hence the first source of the Islamic disciplines is Qur’an. So commentators have been try to interpret the verses which are related to this subject. The subject of interest and bribery which destroy the equilibrium and tranquility in the society are studied and interpreted by commentators in their books. In this article it is aimed to indicate that how the subject was interpreted in the view of a commentator (Ibn Ashur). We will know the interpretation of Tâhir Ibn Ashur about interest and bribery. He handled widely the verses which about interest and bribery differently from the commentators who were before him. According to him the verses in the Qur’an which are about interest explain the matter of interest in the jahiliyyah. However Ibn Ashur accept that interest has been forbidden by Qur’anic verses. It can be seen that fact below. There is enough knowledge in al-Tahrir wa al-Tanvir about the subject. It is also possible to get some knowledge about interest in the books which were written before Ibn Ashur, despite it is difficult to get enough knowledge about bribery in them. Hence Ibn Ashur’s interpretation of bribery is crucial in that respect. It should be stated that the framework of the study has been drawn in terms of literature firstly on the bases of Ibn Ashur’s commentary and secondly his other books. In this respect it is possible to handle the subject as it can be seen below.
