The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between the individual innovativeness and problem solving skills of teacher candidates. Single survey model and relational survey model are used as survey models. Population of the study comprises all teacher candidates from Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Faculty of Education. Within the context of the study, no sampling was carried out since the whole population was accessible. In this respect, data is gathered from 1568 teacher candidates. “Problem solving skills inventory” adapted to Turkish by Şahin, Şahin and Heppner (1993) and “individual innovativeness scale” adapted to Turkish by Kılıçer and Odabaşı (2010) are used to determine problem solving skills and individual innovativeness of teacher candidates. Furthermore, “individual information form” is used to determine demographic information of teacher candidates. The results of the analysis revealed that teacher candidates are medium level in terms of innovativeness and problem solving skills. A significant difference was also found between the programs and individual innovativeness scores of teacher candidates. Additionally, no relationship was found between individual innovativeness scores and problem solving skill scores of teacher candidates.
