In this study biology and primary science student teachers’, and high school students’ knowledge about use of microscopes in biology laboratory was investi- gated. For this purpose, a questionnaire composed of 9 multiple choice and 2 open ended questions were used. The data gathered were analyzed with SPSS 11.0 soft- ware. The results suggest that the student success increases with the use of micro- scopes in laboratory and some suggestions were made in order to improve teaching.
