ABSTRACT In the context of the professional music education in Turkey; now, there are teaching and training activities at Fine arts and sports high schools (GSSL), schools of music, fine arts Faculties, faculties of Education faculties of music and performing arts and Music Teacher Programs. In These educational institutions, according to the structure of the institution in various fields, the general culture and vocational courses have been given. One of these institutions, in the faculty of education music teaching department`s program, the program of music teaching department of Fine Arts Education , MİOY (musical hearing-read-write) lesson introduced since 2006 has been given at I. II. and III. Classes during the total 6 periods together with the undergraduate program. In Music Education Program, a basic infrastructure to create the other classes in terms of the area, musical hearing-read-write (MİOY) course has great importance. The primary purpose of music education programs, is to train teachers having professional music education in formal education institutions . The other purpose of this program is to enable teacher candidates to have a qualified field knowledge. The relationship between the achievement levels of MİOY (musical hearing-read-write) lesson having the basic knowledge and skills and the achievement levels of other area courses takes great importance in order to bring a new perspective to teach these lessons." In this research, the relationships between the other field courses and MİOY musical hearing-read-write) lesson have been examined . As a result of the research, it has been observed that the relationships between the other field courses and MİOY musical hearing-read-write) lesson are positive and significant.
