Curriculums aim to gain students some values. Like many countries, in Turkey, it has been some debate about the values in education. Therefore, it has been necessary to examine values and people’s values tendency in connection with values in formal educational curriculum. The aim of this study is to examine acquisitions of course of religion culture and knowledge of ethics for elementary education in connection with values education. In the study, 232 acquisition sentences in the curriculum of religion culture and knowledge of ethics (RCKE) were put through to content analyses. At the end of the study, it was determined that 64 acquisition sentences were being related to values and 16 values (national identity, moral, love, being scientific, importance of family, sharing-helping, cleanliness, honesty, being healthy, universality, struggling, laicism, being patient, loving nature, respect, tolerance) are being to be found in the acquisitions of RCKE. In the study, values in the acquisitions of RCKE and the value classification of Schwartz and Akbaş were also compared and it was found that these values were in the traditional, democratic, universal, scientific values groups according to the Schwartz and Akbaş’s values classifications.
