This study has been carried out to determine possible misconceptions about trapezium of primary school students. It was tried to determine the students’ conceptions of trapezium and their misconceptions about special quadrilateral like square and trapezoid through 6th,7th and 8th grades. The sample comprises from two different primary schools in Uşak city centre and one primary school form Ulubey district: At the end of this research, it is understood that the students misunderstand the concept of trapezium and they thought that square, rectangle and parallelogram were not a kind of special trapezium. Their misconceptions are not able to be removed completely through the 6th, 7th and 8th grades but some basic features about the shape of the trapezoid have been progressed and modified in the positive direction.
