Abstract:

The 14th century thinker Ibn Haldun, a source of inspiration for different disciplines such as sociology, economics, philosophy, offers significant contributions to the field of work understanding. The study of many work speeches that became systematic with Marx centuries ago by Ibn Haldun in Mukaddim is important in the formation of the research problem. The main purpose of the study is to compare the concepts of work by Ibn Haldun and Marx. The main question is, “What are the differences in Ibn Haldun and Marx’s working concepts?” It is expression. In this study, which brings a different perspective to work discussions, a quality approach is adopted and a code list of work-related data has been thoroughly studied and created. The data obtained were evaluated by content analysis and compared Marx and Ibn Haldun’s work concepts. According to the study, it is determined that Ibn Haldun and Marx have different concepts in the business section, that their approach to workers’ wages is different, that they have similar views in the labor value theory in terms of being seen as the source of wealth, that they have different meanings to work, and that they associate outsourcing with pressure. Ibn Haldun emphasizes the work that turns into worship while Marx emphasizes the strange work.
