Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to determine whether there is a statistically significant difference between the financial rates of those who are at risk of financial failure and those who do not carry in the tourism enterprises that trade shares in the Borsa Istanbul. In this context, the financial failure risks of tourism enterprises between 2012 and 2017 were first determined according to the Altman Z Score model. The Mann Whitney U Test was subsequently attempted to determine whether there is a difference between the financial rates of with and without financial failure risk. The analysis found that there were statistically significant differences between with financial failure risk and with no financial failure risk in the context of cash rate, acid-test rate, cash rate, lift rate, active profitability, self-capital profitability, net profit margin and price/profit rate.
