A revolution that took place in 1979 and has no other example in the world has caused many formal differences in the Iranian political system. This has caused problems with other players in the international system. Different from the other states in the region, the state identity is placed on the Shiite foundation, and the system is organized by Humeyni's Velayet-i Fakih Theory, which has accomplished the regional and global relations of Iran in parallel with this identity. In the post-revolutionary process to the present day, the changes in the political system in accordance with the relations of Iran in the international system have periodically demonstrated differences in the framework of the Constructivism, which attempts to explain the events that occur in international relations with the parameters other theories do not refer to. The clear point in these changes is the dissolution and transparency of the strict system created after the revolution. At the same time,
A unique revolution occurred in 1979 caused numerous changes in Iran’s political system. This situation also changed Iran’s relations with other actors in international system. According to Khomeini’s “Velayet-i Fakih” theory, Iran placed its identity on Shia and shaped its relations with other actors though this new identity. The post revolution era of Iran’s political system has been evaluated through a constructivist approach, which displayed alteration term by term. The most apparent progress observed after the revolution is increasing transparency and dissolvement of the system through the time. Especially, relations, both economic and political, with the West have been developed after the early phase of the revolution.
