The CHP, which was founded on 9 September 1923 with the name of “People’s Party”, divided the country into different regions including several provinces, and established a “Party Inspectorship” institution in order to improve intra-party inspection mechanisms. In the process of time, this institution grew in importance and its area of influence was broadened. The regional inspectorships, which were also responsible for inspecting the people’s houses established in 1932, kept their fingers on the pulse of the people living in their regions by dealing with the problems of the society as well as the party organization. The inspectors in charge of Balıkesir province and the surrounding area worked there to inspect the party organization and identify the society’s problems
