As it is known, the Council of Europe is the oldest international organization which has been unifying the democratic nations in Europe. After World War II, the Council of Europe has been seen to protect democracy and stability and to empower cooperation among nations. For these reasons, so many arrangements (conventions and charter, etc.) have been presented to be approved by the member countries. Copenhagen criterias which are the conditions of becoming the member of the European Union were accepted in 1993. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the Conventions and Charter of the Council Europe which are similar to Copenhagen political criteria
