The purpose of this study, Turkey’s textile and apparel industry is to demonstrate competitiveness. For this purpose, the competitiveness of Turkey’s textile and apparel industry compared with 15 European Union (EU-15) countries. Study covers the years 1999-2009. As an indicator of competitiveness, which was developed by Balassa revealed comparative advantage was based approach. As a result of analyzing the competitiveness of Turkey’s textile and apparel industry was found to be high but declining. In Turkey it can maintain its competitive advantage in branding for high-quality goods has to go.
