Bu çalışmada sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının politik okuryazarlık düzeylerinin cinsiyet, sınıf, anne ve baba eğitim durumu, sivil toplum kuruluşlarına üye olma durumu, sosyal medyada siyasi paylaşım yapma durumu ve tartışma programlarını takip etme durumu değişkenleri açısından belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada, nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan betimsel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın katılımcıları, uygun örnekleme yöntemiyle belirlenmiştir. Araştırmaya yer alan katılımcılar bir devlet üniversitesinde okuyan 124 sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adaylarından oluşmuştur. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Köksal ve Erol (2021) tarafından geliştirilen “Politik Okuryazarlık Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Veriler bilgisayar ortamına aktarılmış ve verilerin analizinde istatistik paket programı (SPSS) kullanılmıştır. Analizler neticesinde veriler normal dağılım gösterdiği için cinsiyet, sınıf, sivil toplum kuruluşlarına üye olma durumu ve sosyal medyada siyasi paylaşım yapma durumu değişkenleri bağımsız grup t testi (Independent Samples t Test) ile anne-baba eğitim durumu ve tartışma programları takip etme durumu değişkenleri ise Tek yönlü varyans analizi (One-Way ANOVA) ile analiz edilmiştir. Cinsiyet, sınıf ve baba eğitim durumu değişkenlerinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık bulunamamıştır; sivil toplum kuruluşlarına üye olma durumu, sosyal medyada siyasi paylaşım yapma durumu anne eğitim durumu ve tartışma programlarını takip etme durumu değişkenlerinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık bulunmuştur. Literatürde incelenen çalışmalar dikkate alındığında nicel yöntemde az çalışmanın yer almasından dolayı nicel yöntemde çalışma yapılması önerilebilir.
In this study, social information is aimed at determining the political literature levels of teachers candidates in terms of gender, class, mother and father education status, state of membership in civil society organizations, state of political sharing on social media and state of follow-up of discussion programs. In the research, a visual scanning model, which is one of the quantum research methods, was used. The participants of the study were identified by the appropriate sampling method. The participants involved in the study consisted of 124 social information teachers candidates who studied at a state university. The study used the "Political Reading Scale" developed by Köksal and Erol (2021) as a data collection tool. The data was transferred to the computer environment and the statistical package program (SPSS) was used in data analysis. As a result of the analysis, the data showed normal distribution, the status of membership in gender, class, civil society organizations and the status of political sharing on social media variables were analyzed by the one-way variable analysis (One-Way ANOVA) and the status of parents-parents education and the status of follow-up of the discussion programs. There were no statistically significant differences in the status of gender, class and father education; statistically significant differences in the status of membership in civil society organizations, the status of political sharing on social media, the status of mother education and the status of follow-up of discussion programs. Considering the studies studied in literature, it may be recommended to work in the quantum method due to the lack of work in the quantum method.
