With its most used and constantly developing structure among the new communication Technologies, social media has started to take an important place in human life. Social media has a participatory structure in which people can share emotions, thoughts, ideas, photos, videos. Whilw the participatory structure of social media ensure that many people are on the same platform, it provides a rapid spread of information related to events such as epidemic, disaster, earthquake and crisis. People create hashtags about these events and communicate via social media and reach more audiences. Especially social media platform such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram are used extensively by both people and political institutions (such as politicians, NGOs, political parties, goverment agencies ) to provide social interaction on important issues that concern society. Social media has also been the most used tool in Covid-19 outbreak, which emerged in Wuhan, China and spread to many countries. In our country, the Ministry of Health gives people information about the virüs through their social media accounts and it is aimed to reach more people with the hashtags they create. In this study, the post shared by the Ministry of Health with Instagram hashtag “Life Fits Home” have been analyzed by semiotic analysis and it has been tried to reveal what the messages are intendedto be given with this posts. As a result of the study, attention was paid to the importance of staying at home during the pandemic period and messages were given about the life outside the pandemic will continue at home.
