PKK terör örgütü, kurulduğu 1978 yılından bu yana büyük bir değişim ve dönüşüm geçirmiş, bir çete hüviyetinden neredeyse bir ülkenin düzenli ordusu kadar güçlenmiş ve en nihayetinde Suriye’nin kuzeyinde fiili bir otonomi elde ederek uluslararası arenada muhatap alınan devlet-dışı aktör konumuna yükselmiştir. PKK’nın geçirdiği bu dönüşüm, bölgesel güvenliği derinden etkilemekte ve bölücülük ekseninde ulus-devlete yönelik en büyük tehdidi oluşturmaktadır. Suriye İç Savaşı’nın başladığı 2011’den itibaren bölgedeki güç boşluğunu kendi lehine kullanarak, uluslararası aktörlerin de desteğiyle büyük bir alan hakimiyeti sağlayan PKK, bir Kürt devleti kurma gayesiyle Suriye’de yürüttüğü faaliyetlerini günbegün artırmaktadır. Dolayısıyla PKK’nın değişimi ve dönüşümünün bölgesel güvenliğe yönelik etkileri hassaten Suriye nezdinde incelenmesi gereken bir konudur. Bu minvalde çalışmada; PKK’nın kuruluşundan bu yana geçirdiği değişim ve dönüşüm ele alınacak ve bahsi geçen gelişmenin altındaki sebeplere odaklanılacaktır. Son olarak PKK’nın bu değişimi ve dönüşümünün bölgesel güvenliğe yönelik etkileri Suriye nezdinde tartışılacaktır.
The PKK terrorist organization has undergone a major change and transformation since its establishment in 1978, it has been strengthened from a battalion to almost a regular army of a country, and has finally risen to the position of an interacting non-governmental actor in the international arena by achieving a real autonomy in northern Syria. This transformation by the PKK has a profound impact on regional security and constitutes the greatest threat to the nation-state in the axis of division. Since the start of the Syrian Civil War in 2011, the PKK, which has been using the power gap in the region for its own benefit, and with the support of international actors, provides a large area domination, increases its activities in Syria with the aim of establishing a Kurdish state. Therefore, the impact of the change and transformation of the PKK on regional security is a matter that must be thoroughly examined in Syria. This minvalde work will address the change and transformation that the PKK has experienced since its establishment and will focus on the causes under the mentioned development. Finally, the impact of this change and the transformation of the PKK on regional security will be discussed in Syria.
