City sociology, information sociology, Turkish sociology have given original works in the fields.Tuna's sociological approach is fed by the accumulation of the geography and history in which he lives. In its sociology, the city is outside and in front of the European-American view. Korkut Tuna points out that today the city issue is addressed through the industrial revolution. In this context, he emphasizes that the Western world is moving from a revolution within the development process. It is a great mistake to define the city, which has been a part of the East for centuries, through the industrial revolution that occurred just a few centuries ago. There are two different cities in the east and in the west. With the influence of the central union, the first cities appeared in the east, and over time spread to the western world. In the spread of cities, there is a determination of the relations between the East and the West. In the East, cities have emerged as a result of their own inner dynamics. In the West, the cities have come up to the extent that they are able to connect with the East. In other words, it can be seen by an external effect. The explanation brought by the Western world is valid for its own cities and cannot be globalized. In this context, the subject of the city cannot be explained by information produced by a single conception of sociology.
