Son yıllarda popüler bir kavram olan biyofili, insanın doğuştan gelen ‘doğaya ve doğada bulunan canlılara’ karşı hissettiği duygusal yakınlık, mimari bağlamda yapılı çevrelerde insan ve doğa etkileşimini ifade ederken doğanın yararlı etkilerinin sürdürülmesine de olanak tanıyan tasarımı tanımlanmaktadır. Günümüzde ekoloji ve doğal çevreyi koruma, insan sağlığını destekleme ve sürdürülebilir tasarımı gerçekleştirmedeki değeriyle biyofilik tasarım / iyileştirici tasarım / terapötik çevre, modern mimari stratejilerinden biri olarak kabul görmektedir. Biyofilik tasarım, tüm dünyada olduğu gibi ülkemizdeki araştırmalara da konu olmaya başlamıştır. Lisansüstü tezlerde biyofilik tasarıma karşılık gelen “biyofilik mimari, iyileştiren mimari, terapötik mimari” anahtar kelimeleri ile yapılan çalışmalar taranmıştır. Çalışma için tarama, Yükseköğretim Kurulu Ulusal Tez Merkezi’nde “gelişmiş arama” bölümünde “tümünde (tez adı, özet, konu, dizin)”, “içinde geçsin” şeklinde sözdizimleri kullanılarak yapılan tarama ile 24 teze ulaşılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda, konuyla ilgili Yükseköğretim Kurulu Ulusal Tez Merkezi veri tabanında 01.06.2022 tarihine kadar ulaşılabilen tezler arasında 2021 yılında en çok tezin üretildiği, en fazla çalışmanın Gazi Üniversitesi, İzmir Ekonomi Üniversitesi, Mimar Sinan Güzel Sanatlar Üniversitesi, Bahçeşehir Üniversitesi ve İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi’nde gerçekleştirildiği, tez çalışmalarında sağlık yapıları üzerine araştırmaların daha ağırlıklı olduğu belirlenmiştir. Tezlerde nitel ve nicel araştırma türünün birlikte kullanıldığı, anket uygulamaları ile desteklendiği ve anahtar kelime olarak en fazla “biyofili” kavramının tekrarlandığı da tespit edilmiştir. Literatürde biyofilik mimari ile ilgili yapılan lisansüstü tezler son yıllarda artış gösterse de genel nitelikler ve çeşitlilik bağlamında çalışmaların azlığı bu alandaki boşluğu göstermektedir. İyileştirici etkiye sahip mimari niteliklerin benimsenerek çok daha fazla yapı türüne entegre edilmesi için bu çalışma, yeni araştırmalara katkı sunmayı hedeflemektedir.
Biophilia, a popular concept in recent years, is defined as a design that enables the persistence of the beneficial effects of nature while expressing the interaction of man and nature in the architectural contexts, the emotional proximity that man feels to the "natural and natural beings" from birth. Today, the value of ecology and natural environmental protection, supporting human health and realizing sustainable design is recognized as one of the modern architectural strategies of biophilic design / healing design / therapeutic environment. Biophilic design has begun to be the subject of research in our country, as throughout the world. Graduate theses surveyed studies with the keywords "biophilic architecture, healing architecture, therapeutic architecture" corresponding to the biophilic design. Scanning for the study, the National Thesis Center of the Higher Education Council has reached 24 theses with scanning in the "Advanced Search" section using the terms "in all (thesis name, summary, subject, directory)", "pass in" in the form of the "Advanced Search". According to the study, the topics of the Higher Education Council in the National Thesis Center databases 01.06. Among the theses that can be reached until 2022; in 2021 the most theses were produced, the most studies were conducted at Gazi University, İzmir Economic University, Architect Sinan University of Fine Arts, Bahçeşehir University and Istanbul Technical University, the thesis studies were more focused on health structures. In the theses, it was also found that the type of qualitative and quantitative research was used together, supported by survey applications, and the most "biophilic" concept was repeated as a keyword. Although graduate theses in literature related to biophilic architecture have increased in recent years, the lack of studies in the context of general qualities and diversity shows a gap in this field. This study aims to contribute to new research in order to integrate architectural qualities with a healing effect into much more structural types by adopting.
Biophilia, a popular concept in recent years, is defined as the emotional closeness that people feel towards 'nature and the creatures in nature', the design that allows the continuation of the beneficial effects of nature while expressing the interaction of human and nature in the built environments in the architectural context. Today, biophilic design / remedial design / therapeutic environment is accepted as one of the modern architectural strategies, with its value in protecting ecology and the natural environment, supporting human health and realizing sustainable design. Biophilic design has started to be the subject of research in our country as well as all over the world. Studies conducted with the keywords "biophilic architecture, healing architecture, therapeutic architecture" corresponding to biophilic design in graduate theses were scanned. For the study, 24 theses were reached by scanning using syntaxes such as "all (thesis name, abstract, subject, index)", "include" in the "advanced search" section of the National Thesis Center of the Council of Higher Education. As a result of the study, among the theses that can be accessed until 01.06.2022 in the database of the Council of Higher Education National Thesis Center; it was determined that the most theses were produced in 2021, the most studies were carried out at Gazi University, Izmir University of Economics, Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Bahçeşehir University and Istanbul Technical University, and research on health structures was more dominant in theses studies. It has also been determined that qualitative and quantitative research types are used together in the theses, supported by survey applications, and the concept of "biophilia" is mostly repeated as a keyword. Although postgraduate theses on biophilic architecture have increased in the literature in recent years, the scarcity of studies in the context of general qualities and diversity shows the gap in this field. This study aims to contribute to new research in order to adopt and integrate healing architectural qualities into many more building types.
