Abstract:

The right of foreigners to acquire immovable property in the Ottoman State began with the "Tebaa-i Ecnebiyen Emlak Mutasarrıf's Act" issued on 8 June 1868 (H.7 Safer 1284), and lasted until the Republic period. It is understood that foreigners were also in the acquisition of non-formally immovable property before the date of this law was issued. The XX. At the beginning of the century, citizens from the German territory of Amassia gained immovable property in the villages of Asibey, Tuzsuz and Kutu related to the central accident of Amassia and the Varay accident. In Amassia, German citizens, with the economic, political and religious policies they follow with the support of Europeans and the Germans, have aimed to make the region a colonial city, but they have failed to succeed. In this period, they have contributed to the economy of the region with their small industrial enterprises and the farm they have established in the countryside.
