Abstract:

The simplest definition of human formalism is the transfer of human characteristics to non-human inanimate beings. In the animation art, the drawing of animals and objects is at the center of the animation cinema. Thus, on the relationship of man with nature, a fantasy world is created, where animals and plants speak, where the sensual senses of unviable objects are revealed, where imagination and reality are questioned. The sympathy and love for animals in real life has prepared the ground for the use of humanized animal characters in the animation cinema. The use of humanized characters has been attempted to establish empathy with the audience in a way. In this study, the relationship between human formalism and the art of animation is questioned and linked to Deleuze’s “gas perception” concept. The need for animation artists to use human formalism has been revealed.
