After the establishment of the Republic of Turkey, the West began to implement its foreign policy axis, after the Second World War has continued Westward moving closer. Since the 1960s, alongside the softening between the United States and the Soviet Union, Turkey has led to new approaches in foreign policy because Western allies did not support Turkey in the Cyprus issue. In this process, Journal of Unity in Languages, Ideas and Study began to be published by Necip Hablemitoğlu in 1977, which suggests political openings for outer Turks, to Turkish foreign policy. In the articles published in the journal, beside to remind the Turkish Republic governments their responsibilities to the other Turkic has argued that these communities could be used as a foreign policy source. With the publications published in the journal, the politicians were warned about these issues and the suggestions about the strategies that should be applied to these communities were given by informing them about the socio-economic status of the outer Turks and the pressure policies against them in the countries they lived. This study aims to examine the foreign policy sources and the strategies towards the outer Turks of Turkey according to Journal of Unity in Languages, Ideas and Study, which was published as 12 issues in 1977.
