Orta Çağ hem Doğu dünyasının hem Batı dünyasının yapısını değiştiren bir dönemdir. Özellikle toplumsal statüler ve kişiliklerin oluşumu açısından düşündüğümüzde kadın ve erkek açısından farklı bir dünya ortaya çıkmaktadır. Kadınların toplum içindeki konumlarındaki farkındalıklar çok dikkat çekmektedir. Orta Çağ’da kadınlara olan farklı ve ikincil bakış açısı, onların Orta Çağ’da daha az öneme sahip olmalarını sağlamıştır. Ancak yetenekleri ile başarılı olmayı başarmış bu bilim kadınları hakkında da çok fazla bilgi bulunmamaktadır. Tüm bu sıkıntılara rağmen bilim kadınları, Orta Çağ’da bir iz bırakmayı başarmışlardır diyebiliriz. Orta Çağ’ın sonlarına doğru kadınların entelektüel hayatta daha fazla görünür konuma geldiklerini söyleyebiliriz. Bu aydınlanma sürecini hem Doğu’da hem de Batı’da hissetmekteyiz çünkü bu dönemde bilim ve edebiyat alanlarında adlarını yaptıkları çalışmalarıyla tarihe yazdıran pek çok ünlü bilim kadını bulunmaktadır. Bu bilim kadınları, Orta Çağ’da kadınlara karşı olan genel yargılara rağmen kendilerini gösterebilmişlerdir. Bu Çalışmamızda hem Doğu hem de Batı dünyasında bu kadar dikkat çeken bilim kadınlarını tanıtıp o dönem itibariyle kadına olan bakış açısı bağlamında da bu bilim kadınlarının etkilerini anlatmaya çalışacağız.
The Middle Ages is a period in which both the Eastern world and the Western world existed. A different world domination for men and women, especially in terms of social status and the upbringing of personalities. Intelligence in the internal positions of women's societies attracts a lot of attention. The different and point of view that was women in the Middle Ages produced them to have less separation in the Middle Ages. However, there is not much information about these women scientists who have succeeded in being successful. Despite all these questions, the women's sciences say they have managed to leave a mark in the Middle Ages. To find that towards the end of the Middle Ages women were more visible in their lives. We feel these enlightenment processes both in the East and in the West. Because in this period and in the literary circles, there are many famous examples of science that have written their names in history with their works. These scientists were able to demonstrate despite the general judgments against women in the Middle Ages. In this study, introducing such remarkable women of science in both the Eastern and Western world and examining the point of view of the women of that period makes us think that these sciences reflect women's women.
