Bu araştırmanın amacı Türkiye’de Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı’na bağlı olarak ortaokul öğretmeni yetiştirmek amacıyla açılan ve 1928-1982 yılları arasında faaliyette bulunan Orta Muallim Mektebi ile eğitim enstitülerinde okutulan öğretmenlik meslek bilgisi kategorisindeki dersleri nicel olarak incelemek ve tarihsel süreç içerisinde meydana gelen değişimi ortaya koymaktır. Araştırmada nitel veri toplama yöntemi olan doküman incelemesi ve betimsel analiz tekniğinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmada temel materyaller olarak Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı tarafından hazırlanarak uygulanan söz konusu okullarla ilgili yönetmelik, talimatname, haftalık ders çizelgesi, müfredat programı vb. resmi dokümanlar kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda 1931 yılında program içinde yaklaşık % 18 oranında bir ağırlığa sahip olan öğretmenlik meslek bilgisi derslerinin 1940’lı yıllarda % 8’e düştüğü, Eğitim enstitülerinin açılmasıyla birlikte 1946 yılından itibaren öğretmenlik meslek bilgisi dersleri içerisinde psikoloji temelli derslerin oranının arttığı anlaşılmıştır. Ortaokul öğretmeni yetiştiren ilk okulun açıldığı 1926 yılından eğitim enstitülerinin önce yüksek öğretmen okullarına dönüştürülüp daha sonra ise 1982 yılında üniversitelerin bünyesine alınmasına kadar geçen süreçte bu okullarda okutulan öğretmenlik meslek bilgisi dersleri gittikçe eğitimle ilgili daha farklı alanları kapsayacak şekilde çeşitlenmiş, program içindeki ağırlığı ise % 7,3 ile 18,3 arasında değişkenlik göstermiştir.
The purpose of this research in Turkey is to quantitatively examine the courses in the category of teaching professional knowledge, which were opened to educate high school teachers in accordance with the Ministry of National Education in Turkey and which were operating between 1928 and 1982, and to examine the changes that occurred in the historical process. The research has taken advantage of the document examination and visual analysis technique, which is the quality data collection method. Basic materials in the research are regulations, instructions, weekly course schedule, curriculum program, etc. implemented by the Ministry of National Education as prepared by the Ministry of National Education. Official documents are used. The research found that in 1931 the teaching vocational knowledge courses, which had a weight of about 18% within the program, fell to 8% in the 1940s, with the opening of the Educational Institutes since 1946 the proportion of psychology-based courses within the teaching vocational knowledge courses increased. The first school to educate high school teachers was opened in 1926 and the educational institutions were first transformed into high school teachers and then in 1982 to the university's entry into the process of teaching professional knowledge courses taught in these schools increasingly diversified to cover more different areas related to education, and the weight in the program varied from 7.3 to 18.3%.
