Öz: Bu araştırmanın amacı ortaöğretim dokuzuncu sınıf öğrencilerinin yaz tatili döneminde matematik, edebiyat ve İngilizce derslerinde yaşadıkları öğrenme kayıpları ile bu kayıpların aile eğitim durumuna göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını belirlemektir. Araştırmanın örneklemini 191 dokuzuncu sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmuştur. Verilerin toplanması amacıyla öğrencilere 2018 yılı Mayıs ve Eylül aylarında araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen akademik başarı testleri uygulanmıştır. Öğrencilerin öğrenme kaybı yaşayıp yaşamadıkları ilişkili örneklemler için t-testi ile öğrenme kayıplarının ailenin eğitim durumuna göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığı ise tek yönlü varyans analizi ile belirlenmiştir. Araştırmanın sonuçları öğrencilerin yaz tatilinde matematik, edebiyat ve İngilizce derslerinde anlamlı şekilde öğrenme kaybı yaşadıklarını ortaya koymuştur. Bununla birlikte, öğrencilerin edebiyat ve İngilizce derslerinde yaşadıkları öğrenme kayıpları annenin eğitim durumuna göre anlamlı şekilde farklılaşmıştır. Araştırmanın sonuçları öğrencilerin yaz tatili öğrenme kayıplarının azaltılmasına yönelik öneriler bağlamında tartışılmıştır. Anahtar kelimeler:
The aim of this study is to determine whether the loss of learning that students of secondary school 9th grade experience in mathematics, literature and English courses during summer holidays and whether these losses differ according to the family education situation. The examples of the study were made by 191 ninth-class students. For the purpose of collecting data, students were subjected to academic success tests developed by researchers in May and September 2018. Students experience learning loss or not, the t-test and the learning loss are differentiated or not according to the educational status of the family, and the one-way variance analysis is determined. The study found that students experienced significant loss of learning in mathematics, literature and English courses during summer holidays. However, the learning losses that students experience in literature and English lessons have varied significantly according to the mother’s educational status. The results of the study were discussed in the context of recommendations for students to reduce summer vacation learning losses. The Keywords:
