Abstract:

The main purpose of this study is to study the effectiveness of milk livestock enterprises in the provinces of İzmir and Manisa, which have an important role in milk production in Turkey. In the framework of the research, 117 producers and 30 producers in the Salihli district of Manisa were faced-face surveyed in the Payed district of İzmir. Data coverage analysis has been used for measurement of effectiveness in dairy livestock. Technical performance values are determined in Payed and Salihli at 0.88 and 0.93 respectively. In general, could reduce gross food costs by 6.28%, cut food costs by 3.3%, labour use by 5.45, veterinary, drug and vaccination costs by 4.16%, and other costs by 5.49%. The study also revealed the relationship of the variables evaluated in the performance analysis with the conditions of the business being effective. According to this, the BUD has found that other costs and the number of cows are higher in the operations that are active. However, the results obtained have shown that the satisfaction of the raw feed needs within the milk livestock enterprises increased the efficiency of enterprises.
