Abstract:

The purpose of the research is to make a situation assessment by conducting a study of the graduate theses on literature in Turkey according to various categories. For this purpose, the Higher Education Institution's thesis center has been scanned and 463 theses have been studied. Theses that have been done on literature from the past to the present have been studied by content analysis, by type of thesis, year, institution, university, consultant title, thesis language, subject, research method, research design, sampling group, sampling method, data collection tool, data analysis method. The data obtained according to these categories is interpreted using percentage and frequency. According to the research findings, the most publications are at the master level and the most published years are between 2015-2019. It has been found that the theses are held more in public universities and in educational sciences and social sciences institutions. It has also been seen that the thesis consultants are mostly in the title of Professor and Dr. Teacher and there are too many Turkish publications and focused on teaching and business (economics) topics. In the examined theses, quantum research and karma research were more preferred, and the research model was also the scan from quantum research methods, quality research methods from content analysis study and karma research methods from action research in the forefront. The study determined that the sampling group was selected by the simple / random method and that university and high school students were preferred as sampling, that the sampling size was concentrated between 1-50 and 201 persons and above, that liquid type surveys and success tests were used as a data collection tool, and that more SPSS program was used in the data analysis method.
