Okul müdürlerinin liderlik stilleri son yıllarda en çok çalışılan konulardan biridir. Okulun başarısı üzerinde en etkili paydaşlardan biri olan okul müdürlerinin liderlik özelliğine sahip olma düzeyi, okulunu ve çalışma arkadaşları olan öğretmenleri ve okulunda eğitim gören öğrencilerini doğrudan etkiler. Bu nedenle okul müdürlerinin sahip olduğu liderlik özelliklerinin belirlenmesi ve geliştirilmesi öncemlidir. Bu araştırma, okul müdürlerinin liderlik stillerinin farklı değişkenlere göre değişimini inceleyen 2016-2021 yılları arasında YÖK Tez veri tabanında bulunan tezlerin sistematik taramasını yaparak incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Okul müdürlerinin liderlik stilleri, son yıllarda yüksek ilginin olduğu araştırma konularından biridir. Bu nedenle yapılan çalışmaların belirli zaman aralıklarıyla taranarak değerlendirilmesi sonraki çalışmalara ve araştırmacılara yol gösterici olacaktır. Var olan çalışmaların hangi konularda yoğunlaştığı ve genel araştırma eğiliminin hangi doğrultuda olduğun belirlenmesi literatürdeki boşlukların da daha açık bir biçimde anlaşılmasını sağlar. Bu bağlamda okul müdürlerinin liderlik stillerinin farklı değişkenlerle ilişkisini araştıran toplam 67 tez olduğu belirlenmiştir. Yapılan inceleme sonucunda incelemeye dahil edilen araştırmaların tamamının nicel desende olduğu belirlenmiştir. Bazılarına ek olarak nitel desenin kullanılarak karma yöntemle gerçekleştiği belirlenmiştir. Okul müdürlerinin liderlik yaklaşımı ile ilişkisinin araştırıldığı değişkenler bireysel ve örgütsel olmak üzere iki kategoriye ayrılmıştır. Örgütsel bağlılığın ve “iş doyumu” en çok kullanılan değişkenler olduğu belirlenmiştir. Eğitim yönetimi alanında çalışan araştırmacıların, okul müdürlerinin liderlik stilleri üzerine daha fazla araştırma yapmaları sağlanabilir.
Leadership styles of school managers are one of the topics that have been most studied in recent years. The level of possession of the leadership of school managers, one of the most influential stakeholders on the school’s success, directly affects their school and colleagues, their teachers and students who are educated in the school. Therefore, it is prior to the determination and development of the leadership characteristics that the school managers have. This research aims to study the changes in school managers' leadership styles according to different variables between 2016-2021 years by conducting a systematic scan of the theses found in the YÖK Thesis database. School managers' leadership styles are one of the research subjects that have been of high interest in recent years. Therefore, the evaluation of the studies conducted by scanning at a certain time interval will be a guide to the subsequent studies and researchers. The determination of which topics the existing studies are focused and in which direction the general research trend is, also makes the gap in literature more clearly understood. In this context, it has been determined that there are a total of 67 theses that study the relationship of school managers with different variables. The results of the study found that all of the research included in the study was in quantum design. In addition to some, it is determined that the quality pattern is made using the karma method. The variables in which the school managers study the relationship with the leadership approach are divided into two categories, individual and organizational. Organizational commitment and "work satisfaction" have been determined to be the most commonly used variables. Researchers working in the field of education management can make more research on school managers’ leadership styles.
Leadership styles of school principals are one of the most studied subjects in recent years. The level of leadership of school principals, one of the most influential stakeholders in the success of the school, directly affects the school, the teachers who are their colleagues, and the students studying at the school. For this reason, it is important to determine and develop the leadership characteristics of school principals. This research aims to examine the change in the leadership styles of school principals according to different variables by systematically scanning the theses in the YÖK Thesis database between the years 2016-2021. Leadership styles of school principals are one of the research topics that has received high attention in recent years. For this reason, the evaluation of the studies by scanning them at certain time intervals will guide future studies and researchers. Determining which subjects the existing studies are focused on and in which direction the general research trend is providing a clearer understanding of the gaps in the literature. In this context, it has been determined that there are a total of 67 theses investigating the relationship between school principals' leadership styles and different variables. As a result of the examination, it was determined that all of the studies included in the examination were in quantitative design. In addition to some, it was determined that the qualitative design was used with a mixed method. The variables in which the relationship of school principals with the leadership approach was investigated were divided into two categories individual and organizational. It has been determined that organizational commitment and "job satisfaction" are the most used variables. Researchers working in the field of educational administration can be provided with more research on the leadership styles of school principals.
