Artvin; Doğu Karadeniz Bölgesinin en doğusunda yer alan, Gürcistan’ a komşu olan bir ilimizdir ve eski çağlara kadar uzanan bir kültür yapısı bulunmaktadır. Artvin’in Şavşat ilçesine bağlı Maden (Bazgiret) köyü de bu eski tarihsel süreci ve kültürü içerisinde barındırmakta olup bu kültürel ögelerden biri de Marioba şenliğidir. Marioba şenliği; yaylaya çıkış zamanlarında ekin hasadına bağlı bolluk ve bereketin çok olması ile birlikte doğacak hayvan sayısının çokluğu ve doğaya teşekkür amacıyla yapılan köy şenliğidir. Marioba şenliğinde geçmiş çağlara ait olduğu görülen ritüeller kendini gösterir ve şenliğin geçmişten itibaren günümüze kadar değişimlere uğrayarak geldiği görülmektedir. Şenlik, içerisinde birçok etkinlik barındırmakla birlikte bunlardan en dikkat çekici olanı kökenleri ritüellere dayanan bir köy halk tiyatrosu olan Berobana oyunudur. Bu makalede Şavşat ilçesine bağlı Maden (Bazgiret) köyünde yaşayan ve festival hakkında derinlemesine bilgi sahibi olan altı kaynak kişiyle birebir görüşme yapılarak kişilerin sözlü anlatımlarından hareketle Marioba şenliği ile içerisinde yer alan faaliyetler ve köyde başlayan turizm incelenecektir.
Artvin is a neighboring province of Georgia, located in the eastern Black Sea region, and has a cultural structure that extends to ancient times. Artvin's Maden (Bazgiret) village is also hosted within this ancient historical process and culture, and one of these cultural objects is the Marioba festival. Marioba festival is a village festival made in order to thank the nature and the number of animals to be born with the abundance and prosperity associated with the harvest at the time of departure. The rituals that appear to belong to past ages in the Marioba festival show themselves and it seems that the celebration has been changing from the past to the present day. The festival hosts many events, but the most remarkable of them is the Berobana play, a village folk theatre based on the origins of the rituals. In this article, the six source persons living in the village of Min (Bazgiret) associated with the district of Shavşat and who have a deep knowledge of the festival will be discussed with each other by moving from the verbal stories of the persons with the Marioba festival and the activities that are included in the village and the tourism that begins in the village.
Artvin is one of the provinces located in the easternmost of the Black Sea Region, adjacent to Georgia and has a cultural framework dating back to ancient times. Maden (Bazgiret) village in Artvin's Şavşat district embodies this ancient historical process and the culture. One of these cultural features is Marioba festival. The Marioba festival is a village festival held to offer gratitude to nature and the abundance of animals born as a result of the abundance and plentifulness generated by the harvesting seasons on the plateau. Marioba festival, in which the rituals belonging to the past ages are seen and show themselves, has come through changes from the past to the present. Although the festival includes many activities, the most striking one is the Berobana play, which is a village folk theatre whose origins are based on rituals. In this article, one-on-one interviews will be made with six resource people who live in Maden (Bazgiret) village of Şavşat district and have in-depth knowledge about the festival so based on the verbal expressions of the people, the activities taking place in the Marioba festival and the tourism that started in the village will be examined.
