Radyolojik görüntüleme yöntemlerinden biri olan Man- yetik Rezonans Görüntüleme, hastalıkların tanısına çok önemli katkıları bulunmasından dolayı yaygın bir şekil- de medikal alanda kullanılmaktadır. Bu görüntüleme tekniğinde kuvvetli manyetik alan oluşması ve vücutta bulunan metalik objelerin bu manyetik alandan etkile- şimleri hasta açısından potansiyel sağlık riskleri oluştu- rabilmektedir. Diş hekimliği alanında yaygın bir şekilde kullanılan Dental implantlar, Ortodontik braketler ve teller, Metal destekli sabit ve hareketli restorasyonlar vb. gibi içeriğinde metal bulunan objelerin varlığında Manyetik Rezonans Görüntülemesi esnasında oluşabi- lecek manyetik alan etkileşimlerinin yeterince bilinmesi gerekir. Görüntüleme esnasında hasta açısından oluşa- bilecek riskleriasgari düzeye indirebilmek için vü- cutta bulunan ve manyetik alandan etkilenen metalik objeler ile ilgili gerekli tedbirlerin alınması gerekir. Formation of the strong magnetic field and its interaction with metallic objects in the body may cause potential risks for patient. In the presence of metal containing objets in dentistry such as dental implants, orthodontic brackets and wires, metal-supported fixed and removable restorations, adequate information about the features of magnetic field and its interaction with the metallic objects should be known. One of the methods of radiological imaging, Man-sized Resonance imaging is used in a widespread form in the medical field because it has a very significant contribution to the diagnosis of diseases. In this imaging technique, the formation of a strong magnetic field and the metal objects in the body are influenced by this magnetic field—there are potential health risks for the patient. Dental implants widely used in the dental field, Orthodontic brakes and wire, Metal-backed fixed and moving restorations, etc. In the presence of the objects contained in the metal content, during the Magnetic Resonance Imaging, the interactions of the magnetic field must be sufficiently known. During the screening, the necessary measures should be taken in relation to the metal objects found in the body and affected by the magnetic field in order to be able to lower the risk from the patient's point of view to the level of knowledge.
