Abstract:

Ganglion cysts are benign tumors filled with fluid, originating from joint capsule, tendon or tendon sheaths, which can occur in all limb regions with the most common wrist. It is more common in women and between the ages of 30-50. Although degeneration after trauma, underlying joint pathologies and herniation of synovial fluid to surrounding tissues are responsible for its etiology, this issue continues to be discussed. Cyst aspiration and radiological methods can be used for differential diagnosis. Pathologies such as tuberculosis, brucellosis, lipoma, soft tissue abscesses, sarcoma, osteoma should be considered in the differential diagnosis. About half of ganglion cysts can heal spontaneously. The first approach in treatment is conservative methods, but recurrence is common in conservative methods. In surgical treatment, if the cyst is completely removed, the recurrence rate is low. Neural therapy is a technique in which local anesthetics are used by injection for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. Neural therapy is one of the frequently preferred treatment methods in chronic pain and dysfunction. It can also be applied in the treatment of musculoskeletal system problems, allergic diseases and various internal diseases. In this article, we present a case of foot ganglion cyst treated with neural therapy which is one of the conservative methods.
