Öğretmenlerin Değerler Eğitimi Hakkındaki Görüşleri: Afyonkarahisar Örneği

Abstract:

Bu araştırmanın amacı farklı branşlarda görev yapmakta olan öğretmenlerin değerler eğitiminin uygulanışı konusunda deneyimlerini ve bu deneyimlere bağlı görüşlerini ortaya koymaktır. Araştırma temel nitel araştırma deseniyle yürütülmüştür. Çalışma grubunun belirlenmesinde tipik durum örneklemesi, kartopu örnekleme ve maksimum çeşitlilik örnekleme teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda araştırmaya Afyonkarahisar’da değerler eğitimi projesine katılım gösteren, farklı branşlardan 10 öğretmen katılmıştır. Araştırma verileri yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Veriler içerik analiziyle çözümlenmiştir. Görüşme dökümleri tekrar tekrar okunarak kodlamalar yapılmıştır. Elde edilen kodlar gözden geçirilerek kategoriler oluşturulmuştur. Son olarak, ilişkili kategoriler temalar altında toplanmıştır. Araştırmanın bulgularında, öğretmenlerin değerler eğitimini toplumumuzda ve kültürümüzde yaşanan değişimlerden dolayı gerekli gördükleri, öğretmenlerin değerler eğitimi sırasında değer öğretimi yaklaşımlarından en çok telkin ve eylem/davranış yoluyla öğrenme yaklaşımlarını kullandıkları ve yapılan değer eğitimi etkinliklerinin öğrenciler üzerinde olumlu etki bıraktığını ifade ettikleri tespit edilmiştir. Bunun yanı sıra öğretmenlerin değer öğretimi sırasında ödül kullanımının öğrenciler üzerinde olumsuz etki bırakacağını ifade ettikleri görülmüştür. Öğretmenlerin değerler eğitimine ilgilerinin artmasına yönelik tedbirler alınması önerisinde bulunulabilir.

Teachers' Opinions About Values Education: Apionkarahisar Example

Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to reveal teachers who are working in different branches their experience and their views related to the application of values education. The research is carried out with a basic quality research model. In the determination of the work group, typical state sampling, cartridge sampling and maximum diversity sampling techniques were used. In this direction, 10 teachers from different branches, who participated in the value education project in Afyonkarahisar, participated in the research. The research data was collected through a semi-configured interview. The data is analyzed by content analysis. The interviews have been read and coded again and again. Obtained codes are reviewed and categories are created. Finally, the related categories were gathered under themes. The findings of the study found that teachers considered the education of values necessary due to the changes in our society and culture, that teachers used the learning approaches through values teaching approaches and action/behavior during the education of values, and that the value education activities had a positive impact on students. In addition, teachers have shown that the use of the prize during the value teaching will have a negative impact on students. Teachers may be recommended to take measures to increase their interest in values education.

The aim of the current study is to reveal the experiences and opinions of the teachers working in various branches in Turkey on the implementation of the values education project. The research was conducted in a basic qualitative research design. Typical case, snowball and maximum variation sampling techniques were used to select the participants. In this respect, the participants were 10 teachers working in different branches and participating in the values education project. Research data were obtained through semi-structured interview and were analyzed by content analysis. The transcripts were read repeatedly and coded. Then, the codes obtained were reviewed and categories were formed. Finally, the related categories were grouped under themes. The study reveal that teachers deemed values education necessary due to the changes in our society and culture, and that teachers mostly used inculcation and action learning approaches during values education and stated that value education activities had a positive effect on the students. In addition, it was seen that the teachers thought that the use of rewards during the teaching of value would have a negative effect on the students. It may be suggested to take measures to increase teachers' interest in values education.
