The aim of this study is to determine the opinions of the primary school teachers about values education. The opinions of the teachers in the research were examined in terms of the importance of values education, the studies conducted in the values education, the factors affecting the values education negatively and the suggestions for the studies that can be done in the values education. The research is in the case study pattern of qualitative research methods. The study group consisted of 21 primary school teachers in the province of Bayburt in Turkey. The study group of the study was determined by the easily accessible situation sampling method. A semi-structured interview form was used to collect the data. Descriptive analysis method was used for data analysis. As a result of the research; it was found that the concept of values education was an important concept in the life of mankind, that teachers used more posters, pictures, videos, drama, concrete materials, and teachers thought that values were partially transformed into behavior by students. It was concluded that families should be a role model in the values education process and that a large majority of teachers think that don’t change was made in 2017 about values education in the curriculum. It was also concluded that the teachers stated that adults did not exhibit exemplary behaviors in this process. In addition, in the recommendations of the teachers about the values that can be done in the process of education in the classroom and extra-class activities should be given more emphasis on the activities stated.
