Fungi have an important place in the animal alemi both in terms of the number of species and in terms of their nutritional values. In addition to their nutritional values, the fungi are also of great importance for human health. However, due to the accumulative properties of the fungi, they can be harmful to human health by collecting heavy metal ions in the soil and in the air. Furthermore, mushrooms are a good environmental monitor thanks to these features. In this study, the ion content of some agarikoit mushrooms samples collected within the borders of the Chorum Province (Al, As, Cd, Co, Cu, Cr, Fe, Mg, Mn, Ni, Pb, Se and Zn) was determined using the ICP-OES (Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry) spectrometry. In this study, the aim is to determine the levels of heavy metal elements in the fungi samples of the Agaricaceae family that grow within the border of the Chorum Province in different geographical areas. The result was the minimum and maximum heavy metal ion concentrations for the fungal samples used in the study. All minerals, except arsenic and nickel, were detected in all of the examined fungi. In the study, the highest ions in the content of the fungi were identified as Al, Fe and Mg, while the lowest ions were Co, Pb and Se.
