Abstract:

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to determine the worries, influential factors and levels of disappointment of the final class students of the Health Services Professional High School.Method: The research sample is made by the final class students studying at the Artvin Çoruh University Health Services Professional High School. The survey form and the Beck Desperation Scale, which determines the indicative characteristics of 230 students involved in the study, were applied. The SPSS 16.0 package program was used to evaluate the data. The data is expressed in number and percentage. T-Test and Anova were used in the evaluation of numerical data. Results: 40% of the students are first and emergency aid, 33.5% are child development, 11.7% are pharmacy services and 14.8% are elderly care program students. It was found that the total hopelessness scores of the students aged 24 and over who stated that the time to find a job would be shorter than 6 months, who made the decision to choose the program themselves, were significantly lower. 45.7% of the participants stated that the program they studied was their ideal program, 63.5% were interested in the program and 25.2% preferred it to have a diploma. It was found that there was a significant difference according to some variables. It is seen that hopelessness scores do not cause any difference between programs. It was seen that the gender factor and the places where the students lived did not significantly affect the total hopelessness score. It has been observed that the total hopelessness scores of the students increase as the time they think they will find a job increases.
