Abstract:

Introduction: This study has made a meta analysis of the thesis work produced in Turkey on the subject of health spending. Method: In this study, all the theses produced since 1994 and published at the YÖK National Thesis Center have been discussed and the frequency analysis has been done according to the fields of science. Results: According to the data obtained from the YÖK National Thesis Center, a total of 77 master’s, doctoral and medical specialty theses were made on health expenditure. 5 of them are a doctoral thesis, 14 are a doctoral thesis, and 58 are a master thesis. 2 theses are prepared in English and all of them are a master thesis. In total, 40 universities have studied the thesis on health expenditure. Result: Health spending is one of the topics of interest in the field of economics science. In this meta analysis study, the most thesis studies have been done in the fields of economics, econometrics and finance. It was also shown that the study was carried out at the level of expertise in medicine.
