This study aims to investigate the research on school effectiveness in Turkey with various aspects and to offer suggestions for further research. To this end, document review method was used and 39 studies on school effectiveness were investigated with various aspects. To conclude, it was found that research on school effectiveness in Turkey focus on especially 2000s and most of the research are prepared as master thesis or published as article. In addition, it was found that researchers prefer using ready-to-use scales, insufficient importance is attached to reliability and validity studies of the prepared scales, these research are conducted in public schools more intensely, these research are restricted in terms of data triangulation and quantitative studies are preferred more. In the light of these results, some recommendations were offered for further research on school effectivenes
