The prevalence of childhood obesity has increased in the population, in addition, it is identified as a risk factor for early development of chronic diseases and is associated with some risk factors such as hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, and insulin resistance and cardiovascular disease. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between body mass index and blood pressure in children. body weight were measured, height and blood pressure. Statistical analysis was performed using the Student t test and Pearson correlation. It was found that most students were underweight and normotensive, and also found a positive correlation to BMI and blood pressure.
