Bu çalışmanın amacı fen bilimleri dersi, 7. sınıf mayoz ve mitoz bölünme konularında uygulanan zihin haritası tekniğinin öğrencilerin akademik başarı ile fen tutumları üzerine etkisini araştırmak ve öğrencilerin zihin haritası tekniği ile ilgili düşüncelerini açığa çıkarmaktır. Araştırma 2017-2018 eğitim öğretim yılında Kahramanmaraş İli merkez ilçesinde bulunan bir kamu ortaokulunda yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada ön test son test kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Kontrol grubunda mevcut program, deney grubuna ise zihin haritası tekniğiyle desteklenmiş mevcut program ile dersler işlenmiştir. Uygulama öncesi deney ve kontrol grubuna ön test ve son test olarak akademik başarı testi ve fen tutum ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Uygulama sonucunda zihin haritası tekniğinin öğrencilerin akademik başarılarını ve fene yönelik tutumlarını olumlu etkilediği, öğrencilerin zihin haritasına yönelik duygu ve düşüncelerinin büyük bir kısmının olumlu olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
The aim of this study is to explore the influence of mind map technique applied in the course of science, 7th class mayoz and mitoz division subjects on students' academic success and scientific attitudes and to reveal students' thoughts about mind map technique. The research was carried out in the 2017-2018 educational year at a public high school located in the central district of Kahramanmaraş. The study used a semi-experimental pattern with the last test control group. The existing program in the control group, the experiment group, and the courses with the existing program supported by the mind map technique were processed. The pre-application experiment and control group has been applied as the pre-test and final test as the academic success test and the scale of the science attitude. The application finds that mind map technique positively affects students’ academic achievements and attitudes towards the mind, and that a large part of students’ emotions and thoughts towards the mind map are positive.
The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of the mind mapping technique applied on the subject of meiosis and mitosis in science class on the academic achievement and science attitudes of 7th grade students and to reveal students' thoughts on the mind mapping technique. The research was carried out in a public secondary school in Kahramanmaraş central district in 2017-2018 academic year. In the research, quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test control group was used. The current program was applied to the control group and the current program supported by mind maps was applied to the experimental group. Academic achievement test and science attitude scale were applied to the experimental and control groups as pre-test and post-test. As a result of the application, it was determined that the mind map technique positively affected the students 'academic achievement and attitudes towards science, and the students' thoughts about the mind map were positive.
