Antik Myndos Kenti, Karia Bölgesi’nin önemli yerleşim yerlerinden birisidir. Makale konusu olan Ayazma ise bu antik kentin Liman Yapısı’nda bulunmaktadır. Çalışmanın ilk bölümünde liman girişinde yer alan yapı kalıntısında 3 sezon sürdürülen kazı çalışmaları anlatılmıştır. Burada Liman Yapısındaki ayazma kuyusunun ve mozaikli alanın bulunduğu odalar mimari açıdan değerlendirilip ana hatlarıyla ortaya konmuştur. Torba, Sardes ve Kos mozaikleri stil ve motif özellikleri açısından Myndos Liman yapısındaki mozaikle çok yakın benzerlik göstermektedir. Söz konusu mozaikler MS Geç 5. Erken 6. yüzyıla tarihlenmektedir. Bu durum aynı zamanda Myndos Ayazması’nın tarihine de ışık tutmaktadır. Tatlı su kuyusunun bulunduğu arka oda da üzeri haç motifli birçok mermer plaka ve freskolu sıva parçalarının bulunması burasının daha önce kutsal bir amaca hizmet eden yapı olduğunu düşündürmektedir. Bu alanda henüz kazılar tamamlanamamış olsa da Liman Yapısının Ayazma olarak inşa edilmiş olduğu düşünülmektedir.
Ancient Myndos City is one of the important settlements in the Karia Region. Ayazma, which is the subject of the article, is located in the port building of this ancient city. In the first part of the study, the construction remains located at the port entrance were treated for three seasons. Here the rooms in which the staging shore and the mosaic area are located in the port building are architecturally evaluated and displayed with their main lines. The bags, Sardes and Kos mosaics are very similar to the mosaics in the Myndos Port structure in terms of their style and motivation characteristics. The Mosaic is Late 5. It dates back to the early 6th century. This also brings light to the history of Myndos. The back room, where the sweet water shell is located, also the presence of many marble plates and fresco shell pieces with cross-motivated motions suggests that this is a building that has previously served a sacred purpose. Although this area has not yet been completed, it is believed that the port structure has been built as Ayazma.
Ancient Myndos City is one of the important coastal settlement in Caria region. The Hagiasma which is subject of this article located in the entrance of the ancient Harbor at Myndos. In the first part of this study, the summary of three excavation seasons have been performed and the structure of Hagiasma and the rooms located on the Floor with Mosaics in the Harbor Structure have been evaluated in terms of architecture and demonstrated with outlines. The mosaics of Kos, Torba, Sardes and Myndos harbor Mosaics belong to same repertoire in terms of motif and style. These mosaics, which have the similar labours with Harbor Mosaic in Myndos, can be dated to the late 5th century and the early 6th century AD. This case also sheds light on the history of Myndos Hagiasma. It is possible to say that the Port Complex is a structure that serves as a sacred purpose. Due to the presence of a crucifix in several marble slabs, the well, located in the back room, should be built as a Hagiasma. Even if excavations is not completed in this area, we think that harbor structure was built as a hagiasma.
