Bu çalışmada öğretmen adaylarının kişilik özellikleri dürtü davranış kalıpları çerçevesinde incelenmiştir. Nicel araştırma yaklaşımı esas alınarak yapılan bu çalışmada 311 öğretmen adayının katılımıyla .81 güvenirliğe sahip 14 maddelik 5’li likert tipli “Dürtü Kalıbı Değerlendirme Ölçeği” geliştirilmiştir. “Güç”, “Sevgi” ve “Başarı” davranış örüntüsü olmak üzere üç faktörden oluşan bu ölçek, kişisel bilgi formu ile birlikte 206 öğretmen adayına uygulanmış ve adayların dürtü davranış düzeyleri betimsel tarama modeli esas alınarak araştırılmıştır. Ayrıca, adayların dürtü davranış düzeylerinin cinsiyete, öğrenim görülen bölüme, aylık harcama miktarına ve yaşanılan coğrafi bölgeye göre istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bir farklılaşmanın olup olmadığı incelenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre öğretmen adaylarının dürtü davranış düzeyleri ile cinsiyetleri ve aylık harcama tutarları arasında ölçeğin geneli ve her bir alt boyutu için istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bir farklılığın olup olmadığı görülmüştür. Öğretmen adaylarının dürtü davranış düzeyleri ile öğrenim gördüğü anabilim dalı arasında ise ölçeğin geneli ve güç, başarı alt boyutları için istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmuştur. Ayrıca, adaylarının yaşadığı bölge ile ölçeğin sevgi alt boyutu arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılaşma olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır.
In this study, personality traits of teacher candidates were examined within the framework of impulse behavior patterns. In this study, based on a quantitative research approach, a 14-item 5-point Likert-type "Impulse Pattern Evaluation Scale" with a reliability of .81 was developed with the participation of 311 pre-service teachers. This scale, which consists of three factors: "Power", "Love" and "Success" behavior pattern, was applied to 206 pre-service teachers together with the personal information form, and the pre-service teachers' impulse behavior levels were investigated based on the descriptive survey model. In addition, it was examined whether there was a statistically significant difference in the level of impulsive behavior of the candidates according to gender, department of education, monthly expenditure and geographical region. According to the results obtained, it was observed whether there was a statistically significant difference between the pre-service teachers' impulsive behavior levels, gender and monthly expenditure amounts for the overall scale and for each sub-dimension. A statistically significant difference was found between pre-service teachers' impulsive behavior levels and the department they studied in, for the overall scale and for the sub-dimensions of power and success. In addition, it was found that there was a statistically significant difference between the region where the candidates lived and the love sub-dimension of the scale.
In this study, it was examined the personality traits of prospective teachers in terms of impulse behavior patterns. In this quantitative study, 14-item 5-point Likert-type “Impulse Pattern Evaluation Scale” was developed with the participation of 311 prospective teachers and has .810 reliability. The scale consisting of three factors as "Power" and "Love" and “Success” behavior patterns were administered to 206 prospective teachers together with personal information form and prospective teachers’ impulse behavior level was examined by using the descriptive screening model. Moreover, it was determined whether there was a statistically significant difference between the impulse behavior levels of prospective teachers according to their gender, departments, monthly expenditure amount and geographical regions where they live. According to the findings, no statistically significant difference was found between the impulse behavior levels of the prospective teachers with the gender and monthly expenditure amounts for each sub-dimension of the scale. There is a statistically significant difference between prospective teachers' departments and the scale itself and the power and success sub-dimensions. In addition, there was a statistically significant difference between the region where prospective teachers live and the love sub-dimension of the scale.
