The main purpose of the current study is to examine the usefulness level of District Headquarter Hospitals (DHQs) in the province of Punjab, Pakistan. These hospitals are considered the main source of providing health facilities in the districts. “Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA)” technique is used to measure the efficiency, which is a “non-parametric technique” used for homogeneous decision-making units. In the present study, Banker Charnes & Cooper (1984) BCC and Rhodes, Charnes & Cooper (1978) RCC DEA models have been used. We estimated input-oriented DEA models. Data of twenty-four (24) DHQs for the year 2016 is used which includes 13 inputs and 6 output variables. The results indicate that all districts hospitals are highly efficient according Banker, Chames and “Cooper (BCC) “and Charnes, Cooper and Rhodes (CCR) models respectively. This attempt will be helpful for policy makers in the field that how they can increase efficiency in terms of their standard.
