Bu çalışmada Avrupa Birliği (AB) Ülkeleri, AB’ye aday ülkeler ile AB’ye potansiyel aday olan ülkelerin 2018 yılındaki makroekonomik performanslarının analiz edilerek kıyaslanması amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla, öncelikle literatür taraması yapılarak kıyaslanmada kullanılan kriterler belirlenmiştir. Bu çalışmada büyüme oranı, kişi başına gayri safi yurtiçi hasıla (KBGSYH), istihdam oranı, ihracat, ithalat göstergeleri analizlerde kriter olarak kullanılmıştır. Analizler çok kriterli karar verme (ÇKKV) yöntemlerinden biri olan ARAS yöntemiyle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Gerçekleştirilen analiz sonucunda elde edilen bulgulara göre ülkelerin makroekonomik performans bakımından sıralaması sırasıyla Lüksemburg, İrlanda, Malta, Norveç, İsveç, Hollanda, Danimarka, Avusturya, Slovenya, Macaristan, Almanya, Birleşik Krallık, Kıbrıs, Slovakya, Polonya, Finlandiya, Fransa, ispanya, Letonya, Estonya, Belçika, Çekya, Litvanya, İtalya, Romanya, Türkiye, Portekiz, Sırbistan, Yunanistan, Karadağ, Arnavutluk, Bulgaristan, Hırvatistan, Kuzey Makedonya ve Kosova şeklindedir. Makroekonomik performans bakımından Türkiye Kosova, Kuzey Makedonya, Hırvatistan, Bulgaristan, Arnavutluk, Karadağ, Yunanistan, Sırbistan ve Portekiz’den daha üst sırada yer almaktadır.
This study aims to compare the macroeconomic performance of the European Union (EU) countries, the EU candidates countries and the potential candidates countries in 2018. For this purpose, the criteria used in comparison were first determined by the scan of the literature. In this study, growth rate, non-pure domestic revenue per person (KBGSYH), employment rate, export, import indicators have been used as criteria in the analysis. The analysis was conducted by the ARAS method, which is one of the methods of multi-critical decision making. According to the findings obtained from the analysis, the rankings of countries in terms of macroeconomic performance are respectively; Luxembourg, Ireland, Malta, Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, Denmark, Austria, Slovenia, Hungary, Germany, the United Kingdom, Cyprus, Slovakia, Poland, Finland, France, Spain, Latvia, Estonia, Belgium, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Italy, Romania, Turkey, Portugal, Serbia, Greece, Black Sea, Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, North Macedonia and Kosovo. In terms of macroeconomic performance, Turkey is ranked above Kosovo, North Macedonia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Albania, Montenegro, Greece, Serbia and Portugal.
In this study, it is aimed to analyze and compare the macroeconomic performances of European Union (EU) countries, EU candidate countries, and potential EU candidate countries in 2018. For this purpose, firstly, the literature was reviewed to determine the criteria used to compare the macroeconomic performance of the countries. Economic growth rate, GDP per capita, inflation rate, employment rate, export and import indicators were used as criteria in the analysis. The analyses were carried out through the ARAS method, which is a multi-criteria decision-making methods (MCDM). According to the findings of this analysis, the ranking of countries in terms of macroeconomic performance is Luxembourg, Ireland, Malta, Norway, Sweden, Netherlands, Denmark, Austria, Slovenia, Hungary, Germany, United Kingdom, Cyprus, Slovak Republic, Poland, Finland, France, Spain, Latvia,Estonia, Belgium, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Italy, Romania, Turkey, Portugal, Serbia, Greece, Montenegro, Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, North Macedonia and Kosovo. In terms of macroeconomic performance, Turkey ranks higher than Kosovo, Northern Macedonia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Albania, Montenegro, Greece, Serbia, and Portugal.
